Carrie grew up running and you can still find her running everywhere and anywhere. She is proud to have trained and coached many individuals who had never run before, and help get them from couch to running 5ks, 10ks, and half marathons. She believes running is not only an amazing way to not only get physically healthy, but also a great way to get holistically healthy, and a wonderful way to become part of a community of amazing and supportive people.

Carrie developed a passion for health and fitness early in life and is currently a full-time graduate student working on a Master’s degree in Public Health (graduating December 2016). Her research interests include developing health and fitness programs to combat obesity and obesity related diseases, especially in women and children. She is currently coaching and interning with Girls on the Run Los Angeles, a program that uses the power of running to teach young girls they can accomplish anything.

Carrie’s goals for the year include running 2016 miles in 2016, running at least 1 half marathon each month, and running her first full marathon. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband of 15 years, who is her best friend and biggest supported and cheerleader. When she is not running, coaching, or in the gym she also enjoys cooking, learning (She has 3 graduate degrees), traveling, and exploring areas near and far.
